Gaming in Asia has proliferated at an astounding rate. While Asian gaming is still dominated by Macau with US$44bln in gross gaming revenue in 2014, new casinos have sprouted up in the past decade in Singapore (US$6bln in GGR), as well as Korea and Cambodia.

In 2009, the Federal Government outlawed gaming throughout the Russian Federation while simultaneously setting up four Integrated Entertainment Zones. Prior to the casino closures, casinos in the Primorsky region generated mostly local only gross gaming revenues of approximately USD$100mln.
